The actress — who plays a strip club worker in new movie Welcome to the Rileys — admits she got nothing from visiting real dancers as part of her research. “I went to a couple of strip clubs because I had never been to one before,” explains Kristen. “Playing a stripper, I thought it would be a good idea to see what goes on there but in the end I got a lot more from books.
“The director gave me these books that had pictures and transcribed stories about what led these girls to doing that job. I did get some really crazy stories from the girls who work in the clubs but not so much on their histories.”
Kristen — who’s believed to be dating her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson — recently admitted she she hates it when people approach her for a picture when she’s going about her business.
“It’s strange when you become a novelty,” she told the Los Angeles Times newspaper.
“It’s sort of like, ‘Yeah, sure. Go put this on your Facebook so your friends can laugh at it.’ Because that’s what they will do. And I usually say no to people like that, when they’re like, ‘Yo, yo, can I get a picture of you?’ And it’s like, ‘No, … you’.
