Shia LaBeouf: ‘Transformers Sequel Was Crap’

SHIA LaBeouf admits he “wasn’t impressed” with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.  Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this week, the actor slated the Transformers sequel. “When I saw the second movie [in the series], I wasn’t impressed with what we did,” said LaBeouf, who’s promoting new movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. “There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone.”

Shia insists that Transformers 3, which is going into production, “restores the human element that got lost in the second movie.”

Shia isn’t the only Transformers star to blast the franchise — actress Megan Fox has previously spoken out against its director strong>Michael Bay.

In a September 2009 interview with Wonderland magazine, Fox compared Bay to Adolf Hitler.

“[Michael] wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation,” she said. “He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.

“So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward.

“He has no social skills at all. It’s endearing to watch him. He’s so vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set, he’s a tyrant.”
