In The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart’s characters are best friends – and almost more. In real life, the two costars are as close as their onscreen counterparts. “We have a similar relationship to Jacob and Bella’s,” Lautner, 17, said Thursday at the Cinema Society and D&G screening in New York City. “We were very open and honest with each other. -The Twilight Saga: New Moon had a huge opening day. The second movie in the franchise pulled in $72.7 million breaking the previous single-day boxoffice record of $67.2 million, set by The Dark Knight in July 2008. The first day total included $26.3 million in boxoffice from a total 3,514 performances at 12:01 a.m. Friday, which set a record for midnight showings. The original Twilight collected $36 million in its first day of release and $69.6 million in its first weekend.

Continuing along with their romp around the world, the stars of the “Twilight Saga: New Moon” were busy boosting interest in their new film in Munich, Germany on Saturday (November 14). With Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner on hand, the gang attended the annual HBV Jugendtreff concert event at Olympiahalle Muenchen. Cutie KRISTEN Stewart is no biker chick! The actress — who plays Bella in the Twilight movie franchise — says she’s afraid of cars — so there’s absolutely no way she’d set foot on a motorbike! “I’m definitely never going to be a biker,” Stewart said. “I’m scared of cars so the idea of riding a motorcycle is just never going to be something that I’m into. “I was towed ridiculously while we were filming New Moon. I was on the back of this truck and I probably looked funny doing it. “Taylor Lautner rode motorcycles really well. He rides up and skids. I left that to him. I wasn’t about to do that. Hottie ROBERT Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were in Hollywood Friday night for a New Moon cast signing at the Hollywood & Highland Center. New Moon hits movie theaters on November 20. Pattinson, 23, recently revealed that he used to doubt his acting abilities. “Dad was in a restaurant and saw a bunch of pretty girls and decided to go up and ask where they’d been,” he said. “They said they went to this drama club, so he said we’d better go down too!
